Breakaway Training

This 1 Day Breakaway training is the only nationally recognised and legally compliant positive handling training for those working with children, young people and vulnerable adults. We will teach staff how to protect themselves when positive behaviour support fails and a physical attack happens.

We will teach a baseline knowledge with the remainder of the course content being tailored to your exact company needs.

Delegates must be medically fit to partake in this course due to the physical activities undertaken.

We will cover a baseline summary of the below:

  • Legal frameworks
  • Understand the causes and build-up of an attack
  • Actions to avoid being restrained or attacked
  • Safely disengage from being held
